It's shooter season again and I'm still not sure what I should do. Battlefield has its flaws, Ghosts has its flaws, both "predecessors" have their flaws (and have been played now for quite a while).
I loved the first Black Ops. That was my #1 game of choice, closely followed by World at War.
I also loved the flying in Battlefield though. Felt useless doing it though Razz
So, what are you going to get? Or what are you going to get *first*?

That sounds like a very good idea, could be a very interesting title.
I'm not too convinced with either one of the two "candidates" that will be available shortly. On the other hand -> it's not that much money.

There's not enough time though to play two, or even more, multiplayer titles at the same time...

even cheap sh1t dont taste any good.
As long ppl are buying this kinda crap nothing will change.

Fullprice DLC Patch vs The Dog (Someone you care about)

Maybe ill end up trying Bf 3.5 also.
Just because of the lack of a good fps Multiplayer game. Mad

Titanfall looks veeery promising but Releasedate is Spring 2014.

I'm too broke to afford either one but if I had to choose I would say BF4.

These games are getting more and more expensive every year, absolutely. Other games may drop to single-digit prices shortly after their release but these start off way too high to drop to something interesting.
Over here the PC versions are even more expensive than console. That just sounds absurd.

@worm king: Titanfall could be a great surprise for next year, yes, on the other hand their release date holds a certain risk.
Of course they'd have drowned had they released their game at the same time as CoD and the next Battlefield.
March isn't too far away from summer though and that definitely means less people playing.

I'll be getting BF4 for PC. From when it was shown at E3, it didn't really look that impressive and just looked like BF3 with a lot of things added. I haven't been keeping up with the latest videos and screenshots of the game and haven't tried the open beta, but I think it's a lot better than COD: Ghosts.

As for COD: Ghosts, I'll probably be getting it for the PS3 as I prefer to play the more casual and quick games of COD on console.

The open beta looked and played just like BF3, at least to me. If it had been a patch I wouldn't have doubted it.

CoD surely had more changes / additions made, on the other hand it had something to catch up to...

Great news Wink Did you do anything special to make it work that nicely or should it really have been optimized?
I should have the user.cfg from beta lying around somewhere...

Game runs fantastic other than the constant rubber banding that is currently plaguing most 64 player servers. That issue should be dealt with fairly soon though. So far I like BF4, but I really miss Operation Firestorm already haha. My favorite map in BF4 so far though is definitely Rogue Transmission.

So you couldn't resist eh? Well, who am I to throw the first stone... Very Happy

It only unlocked this morning so I had to use an improvised user.cfg and injector. I'm not yet completely happy with it, especially the user.cfg seems to have some obsolete lines in it.

Just found a fix for rubber banding issues in BF4 that so many are experiencing, especially those with Hyperthreading and Windows 7. Apparently people had the same issues with BF3 at launch, and it has to do with Windows Core Parking. A quick regedit and restart and BF4 runs perfect for me now...except the constant server disconnects Rolling Eyes And of course the known audio issues.
