I will not rush to install them, I'd better wait.

No? I just did Very Happy

I installed the Quadro version though, maybe it's good for something. 266.44 didn't cut it for me somehow and I had more trouble with them than with any other set in the last year. Hopefully these are better.

good driver... gpu usage in black ops and bad company 2 is fixed... donīt have more bugs or freezes... but in performance i donīt noticed changes in comparison than 260.99 version xg... as xg version is tweaked its may better with tweaks too...

I really like these drivers. IQ in Wings of Prey was outstanding, performance seemed to be solid. I'll need some more time but the first impression is good.

this is what tweakguides had to say about them;

----

Nvidia Beta Forceware 266.35
4 January 2011

Nvidia has released the Beta 266.35 graphics driver for Windows XP, Vista and 7. This driver is for GeForce 6 and higher desktop cards. It improves performance for the GeForce 400 and 500 series in several games, adds Ambient Occlusion support for StarCraft 2, has a range of 3D Vision, Surround and SLI improvements, and contains bug fixes. The driver package also contains the 9.10.0514 PhysX drivers.

-----

they sound like good drivers to me. Especially with the SC2 ambient occlusion[/b]

Suppose this is the long-waited "GTX 460-Fix" driver.

These drivers are really good for me. I don't do benchmarks but the games I've played battlefield bad company 2, need for speed hot pursuit, and call of duty black ops all seem really smooth to me.

With this driver my framerates doubled in Battlefield Play4Free Beta with the same video settings !
With the 265.90 I had 35-45 fps (rarely above 50), and now with the 266.35 I'm getting over 60 fps 90% of the time !!! WhooHoo Razz
Gfx memory usage remained the same (around 400MB) and GPU usage too (30-35%), CPU usage is around 75% on my ageing system.

Tested NFS:HP 2010, AA is working on the cars, but there's a severe performance hit when you crash and roll over... LOL

I'm keeping this driver. Very Happy

SLI performance seems to stutter much less with this set. Think I'm gonna hold on to this one for a while. Very Happy
