i7 shits on bulldozer in multithreading CineBench, Adobe Photoshop, SIsoft sandra, Media Encoding, Music Encoding, PCmark 7 those benches are pure proccesing power on the games they where using ati hardware which is optimize with amd fx cpu's still not a huge difference compare to 2600k the problem is they where testing games that is optimize wit ati hardware for example shogun 2 which is optimize wit ATI and the games they test where limited and i7 its also faster on SATA 6 gbs, also faster in PCI e testing all in all i7 shits on bulldozer on almost all benches. so the i7 2600k still wins. heres the link where they think bulldozer was faster on other reviewer sites since they where using the press kits.

Yeah I don't buy it. The same kits were send by AMD themselves. I seriously doubt that they would have selected the components in that kit if they were giving crap performance. There are some discrepancies in the benchmarks from site to site, but that always happens. Of course, look at the launch of the first Phenom- they did find a bug that was fixed with a BIOS update that helped performance, but still not enough to make it competitive. I really hope there is some magic fix to make AMD look better, but I don't think it will happen.

I'm at the point of who cares with AMD for quite some time. I mean Sandy Bridge cpu are fast on all accounts and affordable for even a buget build under $600.

AMD spent months and months trying to squeeze every bit of performance out of BD and which I am sure had a lot to do with the delays. Its inconceivable to me, that unbeknownst to them, another mobo would give better performance. They know every minute circuit in the chipsets and parts that interface with BD and what would improve or hamper its performance. They chose and packaged the Crosshair with CPUs for reviewers. If results show otherwise on other mobos, and can be reproducible under the same conditions, clocks, mem frequencies, settings, etc on other boards, then it would indicate a momentous blunder on AMDs part. They would then contact all the reviewers and inform them that there has been a major fuck up, and to please redo the reviews with the other, better boards. So far AMD hasnt uttered a peep on this. So its very unlikely that these were sham or doctored reviews. AMD even responded to the negative reviews but never mentioned a thing about better performance of other boards.
