Hello, I just bought an HIS IceQ Radeon HD 4670 1 gig AGP vid card, upgrade from an x1650 pro. The only game I have installed is Oblivion and I'm experiencing system crashes where the computer reboots while playing the game. It is video card related, the current drivers I have are AMD's 11.8. Any suggestions?

Ddi you do a clean reinstall of the 11.8 driver? If yes try rolling back to the 11.7 until the next one come out. _________________ Intel i7 3930K | Corsair H100 | Killer Nic Xeno Pro

I was running omega drivers for my x1650pro, so no go there. _________________ Mobile Athlon 64 (Newark) 754 pin 4000+ @ 2.6Ghz, non overclock

Check temps and if its overclocked drop it back to stock clocks. _________________ Intel i7 3930K | Corsair H100 | Killer Nic Xeno Pro

Stock speed for my cpu is 2.6 GHz, I don't overclock. Well, I tried different drivers anyway, your 9.11 legacy/agp's seem to work, but after an hour of playing crash then reboot anyway. I thought it was a driver issue, now I'm not sure. Oh ya, temps are ok, my cpu doesn't heat up at all, nor does my case. _________________ Mobile Athlon 64 (Newark) 754 pin 4000+ @ 2.6Ghz, non overclock

DOH! Um, according to ATI overdrive, 750MHz GPU clock, memory clock at 800 Mhz, temps under load I'm not sure, but idle around 40C.
update: ambient 22C
case 26C
GPU 59C, might as well say 60C
CPU low 40's under load
edit: looks like I may have been overclocked, put the gpu down to 500 MHz. _________________ Mobile Athlon 64 (Newark) 754 pin 4000+ @ 2.6Ghz, non overclock

Me again, stock clock speed is supposed to be 750MHz, but I have zero fan control with this driver version, so when the card heats up after a while, there are artifacts, and depending on the game, grey vertical lines all across the screen then computer reboots. If I knock the speed down to 500 MHz, there is no issue but...well, its slower. _________________ Mobile Athlon 64 (Newark) 754 pin 4000+ @ 2.6Ghz, non overclock
