So?
People even complained about the BC2 and MoH beta which both had serious bugs and both were in a better shape than this beta is.
I'm not saying they have a bad concept but they have a really bad attitude and no respect for their customers obviously.
If a small, independent team like Tripwire Interactive has a troubled launch with loads of bugs, like they had recently with Red Orchestra 2, well... that's already bad but the team might not consists of more than 10 people.
Dice on the other hand claims to be a multiplayer expert, has decades of experience and is about to launch their 10th large multiplayer title now?
They shouldn't always use the same excuse and they shouldn't get be able to get away with it each time.
Bad Company 2 for example got boring for 75% of the players before some of the major patches arrived. There's too much competition for such a bad and disrespectful behavior.
Every game needs patches and ongoing support to stay strong for a long time. Of course. But the amount of patches needed and the severity involved should be on another level.
The glitches for example are one thing. If they happen here and there, on some spots on a huge map, fine. If almost one side of the map is glitched though this shows that there are serious issues at hand.
All their latest titles show the lack of polish, really bad QA and lacking respect for the customer.
I really wouldn't mind all of this if they were plainly bad games, no one would care. They could be so much better if they had a decent quality though and I just can't stand it, especially not when the developer brags about how great they are (and better than any competitor of course) at the same time. It just doesn't work that way. _________________ Intel i7 2600k | MSI Z77 GD55 | 8GB Corsair DDR3-1866 | Gigabyte GTX 670 | Creative X-Fi Titanium HD

well i wouldnt waste time bragging on some beta like i said it just a polished alpha version and not on its final stage if the full game dont come out like the way u want it then dont get it but millions of people loved it even the beta including me and people will definetly buy it. i see an excellent future on this game and i can bet u that. _________________ i7 3930k @ 4.5

I will buy it, no question about that. I pre-ordered it around E3 to be honest.
I wouldn't care if it was some bad game from the start but they've shown they can fix it. I'm not bragging about the beta or a specific issue in particular but the way Dice and EA treat their customers. Sadly there's no single game they did together that was any different.
What I can't understand is why they don't release their games half a year or even a year later in a nicely polished form. I'm sure it wouldn't hurt their sales or player numbers _________________ Intel i7 2600k | MSI Z77 GD55 | 8GB Corsair DDR3-1866 | Gigabyte GTX 670 | Creative X-Fi Titanium HD

Ea always want the fast money..
At least they fix errors but they need too much time for it.. Bc.2 get a halfway working hitbox after 6 months, just ported from moh and the rubberband effect is gone with that r11 patch now. after almost 12 months....
i dont preorder stuff like this anymore.
Same is with cod black ops ... a dlc mappack 15 bucks and now 5 of em out?
Lol fu.. but as long ppl buying unfinished stuff and overpriced dlcs. release quality will not matter. Ppl still buying it and companys saving developing costs.
They can outsource the patchwork later also... so even more money for ea.
thats what ea its all about anyway.
but i like this game.
Btt:
i get 50-35 fps outside metro with all settings high/bloom n ao off.... textures ultra +2x aa
6950.@ full shader + 860 @3,8ghz
ok but not that good
you really need a 2nd card for ultra settings. and 4x aa _________________ ______________________________

i have mine set to high and run around 80 - 90 fps all the time and that is the default high setting. i tried ultra and i drop down to 30- 40 fps and was laggy has hell.
but yeah this beta is much worst then bc2 was so far. and i have like 8hrs of game so far and lvl 17 but i play support all the time tho.
but if they dont get around fix the few things that need to fix ASAP more will not want to buy it or they will wait when it comes down in price. i still hate shelling out 60us for this. _________________ Thermaltake Kandalf LCS

You guys must have amnesia, the BC2 BETA on week 1 was way, way, WAY, worse than this. It was a fucking slideshow. I do agree though, this game has a long way to go and they should just wait to release it but we know EA won't do it. This beta is nothing more than a stress test on their servers and I expect the full release to be exactly what we see here with a day 1 patch to fix some minor issues.
I'm running the game at ULTRA Settings in 720, with HBAO Disabled vsync Enabled, holding 40-60 fps.
BTW Radical, I'm getting a spyware warning from your sig lol. _________________ Intel i7 3930K | Corsair H100 | Killer Nic Xeno Pro

Radeon pro has a setting for this , but its not working....
the config is written in hex so i have no clue what i have to change #
any ideas my haxxors ?
edit: this raw setting for the mouse ruined my aiming... i disabled it, and now its much better... _________________ ______________________________

Flip Queue Size: This setting is similar to the 'Max Frames to Render Ahead' Nvidia setting which has been made famous by Oblivion - see this page of my Oblivion Tweak Guide. It works in much the same way, controlling the number of frames which are calculated in advance of being displayed. The default is 3, or Undefined, however by lowering this setting you may be able to resolve mouse lag problems, and even prevent graphics freezes in certain games. Experiment by setting this value to 2 first, and then if necessary try an extreme value like 0. For most people however I recommend either 3, 2 or 1 at the lowest as setting a value of 0 can disable the performance benefits of dual core CPUs for example, and in general lowering this setting will reduce overall FPS the lower the setting. You can try raising it if you want to see if you can gain performance, however again you may experience mouse lag or input lag.

try downloading direct 3rd overrider and enable triple buffering it smoothes out mouse movement _________________ i7 3930k @ 4.5

@semp: BC2 was way worse considering hit detection and servers, definitely true. I never encountered such glitching though like the falling through the floor and, as far as I remember, key binds worked just as well as they do today (hopefully that doesn't tell us they'll never be fixed in BF3 ).
@wormking: Try to run the game without the direct input for the mouse. I think it feels better with it off.
The config is sad to be editable with Notepad++. As you may have noticed the game won't launch anymore if you use the normal notepad. _________________ Intel i7 2600k | MSI Z77 GD55 | 8GB Corsair DDR3-1866 | Gigabyte GTX 670 | Creative X-Fi Titanium HD

whats the setting for direkt input ?
Its ok now with the mouse accleration (raw something) setting disabled but the hit detection still sucks...
This game is just more then unfinished. _________________ ______________________________

Yes it looks like that, I know.
The mouse option I meant was the one you mention there. I didn't go through the whole config but wanted to adjust FoV and turn motion blur off completely (there are two settings in the file, one is always turned on). _________________ Intel i7 2600k | MSI Z77 GD55 | 8GB Corsair DDR3-1866 | Gigabyte GTX 670 | Creative X-Fi Titanium HD
