My god...things are looking pretty good and I might have to switch sides again soon
i would wait for the sandy bridge E and x79 chipset instead of these. they only used two cores and disable 6 cores. theres no way those thing can hit 8 ghz wit all cores enabled. early official benches the amd fx 8150 was able to beat 980x wit 2 frames ahead on dirt 3 but it was a cherry picked benchmark and they did not show the clock speed my guess was the amd fx 8150 was using tubo mode which up the frequency from 3.6 ghz to 4.2 and the 980x was at 3.3 or 3.6 ghz turbo mode. good to see amd gettin the acts together after being pounded by intel for decades now. been using there athlon 3800+, 4000+, and of course the FX 51 and FX 55 from them great processor at that time then intel stepped up their game and from there amd had no chance. as for me i would not bother wit these bulldozer if all goes well might have to upgrade to i7 3960x wit x79 mobo quad channel memory. _________________ i7 3930k @ 4.6

They've actually only been "beaten" since 07 or 08. AMD was the gamer's choice for many years, and anyone serious. Intel just used its money to beat out compeition and is paying up in anti-trust as we speak.
AMD's picking up the ball though, and ATI's not doing too badly on the other side either. I would've picked up a 6950 instead of a 560ti if there wasn't a 50-60 dollar price difference north of the border here (waiting on a mobo for a i5 system).
