It's coming. Sit tight for another day or 2. There was a delay in testing. _________________ Intel i7 3930K | Corsair H100 | Killer Nic Xeno Pro

This WHQL driver is a really horrible performer on my setup at least and is much slower than the previous XG beta, while IQ is nice. But it's too much IQ oriented for my liking so I will give the beta driver a try again to see if it's something that is wrong as I've just reinstalled windows.
BTW, is there any possibility to grab XG 163.67 non SE version as I haven't got this one saved and I feel I'd wanna compare 163.71 beta with that one a bit more to see if I really wanna use 163.71 beta or not.
IE, if some1 has it on their HDD still and wanna upload it somewhere/send it to me for example, would be much appriciated. It's not available on tweakforce site so and this driver was a monster performer for me.
EDIT: OK now I have tested XG 163.71 BETA a bit again and it made things clear pretty quick, the XG 163.71 Final ran significantly slower than the BETA for me and it was even that bad so it matched decently performing 8x.xx - 9x.xx drivers at best, couldn't even get close to the other 163.xx drivers in performance. So for now I'm sticking to either 163.71 BETA OR if like posted I could get hands on 163.67 Non-SE version to try it out a little more it would be nice. I can't comment much about the IQ of the XG 163.71 Final since I didn't try it out that much, the performance reduction was simply too much for it to satisfy any IQ boost for me and 163.71 BETA already looks godlike IQ wise and there's no need for more in trade off for worse performance IMO. _________________ Intel® Core™ i7-860 @ 4.1GHz | Gigabyte GA-P55-UD5 | G.Skill Ripjaws 2x2GB @ DDR3-2340 9-10-9-24 | Gigabyte GTX 460 OC 1GB @ 880/1760/2000 MHz | Corsair HX 750W |

I gave these a shot on both the 7900 & 6800 systems, but I have to agree with RPGWiZaRD .... I went back to the 163.71 BETAs on both systems.
The performance with the Finals was very close to the Betas, maybe slightly slower, but not much. They might have been just a touch smoother in the Lost Coast Stress Test, but I noticed that instead of slight stutters here and there with the Betas, the multiple small hiccups were replaced by one or two large 1/4 second stutters with the Finals (on the 6800 anyway - on the 7900 they were smooth as glass). Overall, not that much difference in FPS.
I mainly went back to the Betas because the IQ with those spoiled me. The IQ with the Finals just isn't at the same level as with the BETAs on my systems..... these are both 6 & 7 series cards, so you 8 series guys might see different results. It may be subjective, but the BETAs just seem much crisper and cleaner to me... and the water and atmospheric effects are night and day between the two sets.
Thanks again for putting out the Final version...but the 163.71 BETA drivers are far better on my boxen..... Your mileage may vary....

I still recommend the beta 163.71 to 6 and 7 series users. The 163.71 Final should work better for 8 series users. I hadn't had much time to test the final driver on my 7 series machine until today but I have to agree the beta gives slightly better IQ and performance on my 7950GX2.
My main rig however gets my highest 3dMark Score yet with the XG163.71 Final. With the beta I lost over 200 points and my fear benchmark lost about 80 fps also.
...and I'll stick the original 163.67 non SE in the archives for you. _________________ Intel i7 3930K | Corsair H100 | Killer Nic Xeno Pro

The 163.71's gave me my highest fps and smoothest gameplay out of any driver, ever. I remember fps gains of like 5-10, nothing crazy within most of the drivers, then you see boosts of 30+ in almost all games? Gotta keep 'em. Sucks they don't work for others like they do for me, but I'm pretty sure that just like "there's a guy/girl for every guy/girl out there" that there is a driver that is amazing out there for everyone _________________ Processor : Intel I7 2600K

So to sum it up, these WHQL are good for GF8 users and GF7 and 6 users might wanna stay with 163.71 beta. In 3Dmark05 for example I lost 200 points with the WHQL vs BETA with my 7900GTO and in many spots saw 2 FPS reductions. 2 FPS difference is a lot in 3Dmark05, could mean 5 FPS difference in some other games I know by experience so yeh these were really slow for me both in benchmarks and games I tested.
Oh I see a new beta released by nvidia.
Thx SemperFi, will try em out a bit more later but IQ is really awesome on 163.71 BETA so it has to be a big performance difference in order for me to give up on these. By far the best IQ I've seen so far in any driver and considering performance is still above average performing driver I see this driver is close to what I'd compare the OMEGA 44.03 driver I finally sticked to with my GF4 Ti 4200 64MB despite 57.xx - 59.xx was out or something like that but none could match the 44.03 so. _________________ Intel® Core™ i7-860 @ 4.1GHz | Gigabyte GA-P55-UD5 | G.Skill Ripjaws 2x2GB @ DDR3-2340 9-10-9-24 | Gigabyte GTX 460 OC 1GB @ 880/1760/2000 MHz | Corsair HX 750W |
Just a random question here.. Does the control panel in these drivers contain the tools for adjusting the screen size and position of a TV output source? The official nvidia ones are missing them and my screen is cutting off about 20-30px on the left/right, which is pretty annoying when watching fansubbed anime. Thanks in advance for any replies

Did you try reinstalling the driver? There are a couple of things I want you to try before you do.
-First uninstall the display driver from add/remove programs and reboot in safe mode (f8 on startup).
-Next run Driver Sweeper and reboot again normally.
-Now goto the C:/Windows and delete the 'nview' folder.
-Next goto C:/documents and settings/all users/application data and delete the 'nview profiles' folder.
note: you have to have 'view hidden files' enabled to see the app data folder.
-If you have a registry cleaner now is the time to run it. You can get a good free one from www.ccleaner.com it's a great little program that does all kinds of system cleaning.
-Now reboot again and install the XG driver.
Please note: This is not a problem with XG drivers. I have had this happen to me a few times with the stock nvidia drivers. I have found it happens when the old cp is not completely removed when you update drivers and there are conflicts between the new cp install overwriting the old cp files. Good luck and I hope this helps those having problems. _________________ Intel i7 3930K | Corsair H100 | Killer Nic Xeno Pro

Hmm.....Thanks for the info here. I'll stay with the Betas. Nice IQ and FPS with my aged 6600GT.
