kx project home page
http://kxproject.lugosoft.com/

The home page is not updated with latest version. Better check the forum.

kx drivers are not modded creative drivers. youp-pax drivers are modded creative drivers.

kx drivers has nothing to do with creative drivers. They are written from scratch. They are completely different from creative drivers and they are very accurate. Many say that they have better sound quality than the creative drivers and maybe they have right. The main problem is that they don't support EAX 2.0.

@Rosco_CoF

Does you mobo have onboard audio? Have you disabled the onboard audio by jumper or through BIOS?

The best way is to disable onboard AC'97 audio by jumper, else through BIOS.

If you disable onboard audio only through BIOS, you may encounter some problems like the ones you have. But if you disable the onboard audio by jumper, you will avoid such problems.

Yes, and yes. No jumpers though, only option is through the BIOS.
