Hi! Guys, Long Time.

I read someone saying somewhere that after a new series of cards have been released (i.e 500 vs 400) the new drivers really only tweak and improve the newer series as time goes by, (esp. with something like my old trust g92 gts) so it is better to grab the last "major" update driver, or the best one and stick to it.

Obviously, I know for the 4 and 5 series for my case since it is Fermi it won't really be a difference but what is your guys opinion/experience on it.

ps. Isn't it kind of weird that there's 200 series cards that are stronger than the lower end 4 and 5?

Well I put my old 280 in the wifes rig and the last driver (285) gave her a nice boost but you are right, eventually the newer drivers won't do much for the older cards and you will find yourself rolling back to a driver that worked best for you. Oh and welcome back. Smile
