This driver has some serious issues regarding the DPC latency, I mean there are HUGE spikes (7000+ micro sec.) under Windows 7 x64 and in XP too !!!
Just to show you 2 screenshots about this:

Win XP:

Win 7 x64

The screens were taken at idle, in desktop... doing nothing. Sad

PLEASE make some short test with DPC Latency Checker http://www.thesycon.de/dpclat/dpclat.exe and report back, it's something fishy about this driver.

This driver is giving me the lowest ys I have seen in a while. i am getting lower than 100ys all the time in DPC latency tester. There must be something else causing the spikes for you.

Thanks to all of you who tested the DPC latency, so far I and SoullessDreamer were "hit" by this thing. For sure it happens with older cards, I have tested with an 8500GT and a GTX260. Still researching

I had higher spikes on the .27's as opposed to the 270.61's by like 15-20 nothing substantial like whats being shown here on the dpc latency screenshots with red bars. These drivers as well as the XG's give me Nvidia driver has stopped responding errors (WoW,Crysis1,Crysis2) so im back on the 270.61's. Im sure its some isolated problem on my computer because the .27's are really phenominal drivers in everything else.

No problems here with DPC Latency.

(24-bit Music was playing, as well as Website Pages loading).

Edit: Yes this is on Windows 7 x64 Home Premium. I just like classic looks x_x

Edit 2: The Sound Buffer length is set to 300ms btw.

Im using the official betas, and not the XG's and Im having problems in BFBC2 with certain things not rendering, like a few buildings, a bridge, its strange, the bridge for instance will still be there just not rendered, so if I run across it, its like Im levitating across the river. I will try to get a SS if I remember. Will try the XG set too and see if I have the same issues.

EDIT: Ok Im also getting artifacting in World of Warcraft with this set, XG and official betas alike. Im gonna be rolling back.

hmm never knew what DPC Latency was but since lower = better (and since it can cause popping noises which i've actualy had for a wile but unable to find a cause chose to ignore, i checked mine and i avg at about 9000 -,-"

turns out about half of the spikes to 9000 were caused by the nvidia sound drivers... might be a good place to start if u have big spikes, now off to kill those pesky sound drivers that i dont even use.
