Ive got a quad Q6600 waiting for a replacement motherboard. Komplett only has the RMA'd motherboard with almost 3 weeks and knowing how slow they are I have another 3 weeks to wait until it gets tested. Still I didnt notice much difference with the quad core towards this dual core. Some applications will work better.

The one program I saw a massive difference with was VSO ConvertX to DVD. It converts standard videos to DVD format. I went from an hour and a half encoding to 25 minutes without lipsinync going off slowly. The lipsync goes bad after a half hour with this amd. I didnt test the quad with Crysis though. Crysis is meant to utilise all cores. Also two more things the work a good bit better is antispyware , anivirus scanning and winrar.
