This is the first HD 4850 with improved cooling beeing out. Also factory oc'ed.
Asus and Gigabyte is said to also follow up with HD 4800 cards with better cooling than the pretty insufficient stock coolers.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102760

Standard HD 4850 clocks.

GPU = 625MHz
Memory = 1986MHz

The Sapphire Toxic:

GPU: 675 MHz

Memory: 2.2 GHz

This means that the Toxic HD 4850, have 25 MHz higher gpu clocks than some of the Geforce GTX 280's and not that far away from the same memory clocks.

And with the addition of the Zalman cooler. This will be a great bang for buck card in the true sence of the word.

If you are considering a Toxic? The minimum psu requirement is 450W and 30A on the +12V rail(s).

Review of the Toxic:

While it is a good deal for the gamer on a budget remember 256bit = shitty performance at higher resolutions. Not to mislead people I'm only pointing this out because you are comparing the card to the 280.
